Buenos Aires, February 2 (NA) – At least 50 people were evacuated and five patients inhaled smoke due to a fire on the 11th floor of a building located in the Palermo neighborhood. Official sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the blaze developed in a building located on Santa Fe Avenue 3373, between Vidt and Jerónimo Salguero streets. The fire started in a kitchen, which is why police from the 14A Neighborhood Police Station, City Firefighters, and 12 SAME mobile units were dispatched to the scene. Authorities proceeded to evacuate 50 residents, while four men and one woman received oxygen but did not require transportation. The operation was supervised by the head of SAME, Alberto Crescenti, and the fire was extinguished.
